Then today I received an email from my hosting company notifying me about a server move and asking me to delete unnecessary data. I knew there was a lot of blog spam waiting for moderation that was using up a log of disk space.

14,000+ comments, all spam. So much so that the database query was timing out. It was easier to just nuke the original blog and database and create a new one. Oh well, the last post on the original blog was over 2 years ago anyway.
